Bio

Jacopo Ardolino is an Italian director and photographer, born in 1986.
He graduated in Literature and Philosophy at the "Roma Tre" University, at the same time he graduated as a Film Industry Technician at the "Roberto Rossellini" State Institute of Cinematography in Rome.


In 2019 he wrote, produced and directed "To Her" an experimental short film that has won numerous awards abroad especially in America where it won, Best Short-Silent / Experimental at "Queen Palm International Film Festival", Best Experimental Film at " Los Angeles Film Awards ". Also at Los Angeles he won Best Director (Male) at "Independent Shorts Awards".
American critics wrote about the short: "Brilliant concept, and excellent execution!" LAFA (Los Angeles Film Awards).
In Europe the short film won the Rivegauche-Festival Special Award for Best Italian Experimental Short at "7 ° Firenze Film Corti Festival", and Best Short Film at "VIFF Vienna Independent Film Festival".

In 2019 he founded Morcego Films, a video production company based in Milan.

Since 2021 he has been part of AIR3 Italian Directors Association.

He currently lives and works in Milan as a photographer and director.

Work

He has worked for Rai-Radiotelevisione Italiana, Fondazione Romaeuropa, Federculture, Fondazione Cinema per Roma, Teatro Manzoni, Radar Concerti, 45Gradi, Carosello records, Virgin Records, Universal Music Italia and for musicians such as Ghemon, Mecna, Joan Thiele, L I M, Wrongonyou, Frenetik&Orange, Eva Pevarello, Nicolò Carnesi.

He has supervised the direction of videoclips for Ghemon, Mecna and other authors of Italian music.

His photos have been published on Vanity Fair Italia, Rolling Stones Italia, Urban Magazine, Harper Collins Italia, Riders Magazine, La Repubblica, Corriere Della Sera Web and IoDonna Web.

In 2019 he wrote and directed "To Her" an experimental short film that achieved success especially abroad, winning different prizes.

Using Format
